Lincoln, Neb – Tom Briese, who farms near Albion with his wife Joan, filed paperwork on Tuesday morning with Nebraska Secretary of State John Gale to be a candidate for Legislative District 41. “Since announcing my campaign last June, I’ve traveled thousands of miles and met hundreds of Nebraskans,” said Briese, a fourth generation Boone County farmer. “I’ve met so many great people at civic clubs, county fairs, and business group meetings in communities across the nine counties of District 41.”
Briese continued, “Everywhere I go, Nebraskans tell me they want lower property taxes, strong schools for our kids, and job opportunities especially for young people in our rural communities. I share those priorities and will make them the focus of my campaign and my service in the Legislature.”
The primary election is Tuesday, May 10 and the general election is Tuesday, November 8.
